Jen: Tom Dixon

I thought that this chair design by Tom Dixon was really neat. The seat and back are made out of rubber bands, which I like because I think it is interesting when designers use unusual materials to express their ideas. When one first looks at this chair, the pieces of the chair do not look like they are made from rubber bands, so it adds a fun twist when you learn the true identity of the material. It also seems like the chair would be comfortable because rubber bands are flexible and will move to accompany one's needs.
