I thought that this vase made of porcelain by Yuko Tokuda was very interesting because of its simplicity. Normally a vase containing flowers has great volume and transparency, allowing one to observe the stems of the various flowers interact with each other in the water. In this piece, there is a lack of interior, which is unusual, and one can not see the water. This design gives one the opportunity to focus on a single flower, which can be quite beautiful, rather than a grouping of flowers, which can sometimes be distracting. It is very unique and eye-capturing.
